INTRODUCTION:  Welcome to the online Dependent Tuition Waiver application. Completing the form is quick and easy; however, it’s important that you read this introduction carefully.

For eligible* University of Connecticut employees, a waiver of tuition is extended to their dependent children who are matriculated and enrolled undergraduate students at UConn, and who will be under age 24 for the entire calendar year (January - December) in which the waiver is being received. Waivers apply to the Fall and Spring semesters only, and a separate waiver request must be submitted for each semester. Please remember that only tuition will be waived; the student remains responsible for any non-tuition fees and charges.

ELIGIBILITY:   Eligible* employees must be employed at a minimum of 50%. The waiver will be pro-rated to the percent employed at or above 50% as of the first day of the semester. The student must be eligible to be claimed as a dependent child (biological, step, or adopted) per IRS guidelines. Employees will be required to submit proof of relationship documentation to Human Resources. Additionally, if the dependent's surname differs from the employee's surname, a brief explanation must be provided in the "Comments" section of the workflow form.

AVAILABILITY:   You can submit the waiver application for the Fall 2024

IMPORTANT:   If your child is a newly admitted student, you will not be able to complete a waiver request until after 05/10/2024
